Superb vintage needlepoint tapestry representing a bird of paradise perched on a branch, wings outstretched.
The colors of the bird (fuschia, pink, orange, mauve and turquoise) contrast with the blue background and the green and khaki foliage.
It is a true work of art hand stitched by a talented craftsman-artist, given the delicacy of the work. Very, very far from the "kitsch" often associated with this kind of work.
The tapestry is bordered by silver and white rods and framed under glass therefore very well protected.
