Vintage orange enamelled cast iron “Coquelle” casserole dish / cooking pot with lid dating from the 60s.

Created by the famous industrial designer and graphic artist Raymond Loewy for Le Creuset. It has become a collector's item, while remaining a fully functioning kitchen accessory. 

Le Creuset was created by two Belgians, (Armand Desaegher, a specialist in cast iron and Octave Aubecq,a specialist in enameling) in 1925, to enamel kitchen utensils.

This foundry was located ideally in the Aisne at Fresnoy-Le-Grand at the crossroads of transport routes for raw materials such as coal, iron and sand.

Mainly known for its enamelled cast iron casseroles, it is now the world leader in enamelled cast iron cookware!

This pot will be perfect for braising or simmering meat or vegetable dishes. In addition to facilitating your work in the kitchen, the pure aesthetics of this utensil as well as its superb colour make it a decorative addition to any table.
