Vintage paraffin lamp that has been electrified for use in the 21st Century!
It consists of :
- a blue glass tank
- a pewter base richly decorated with acanthus leaves
- a sandblasted glass chimney shade
- a brass Kosmos type spout
Perfect for creating a retro atmosphere while diffusing a subdued light.
This open-flame lamp which draws on the progress brought to the oil lamp, was invented by the Polish pharmacist Ignacy Lukasiewicz in 1853
