Beautiful vintage statuette of Saint Ambrose of Milan in painted bisque porcelain.

Saint Ambrose lived in the second half of the 4th century A.D.; he was born around 340 and died on 4 April 397.

St. Ambrose is remembered by the Church as one of the four most important Doctors, together with St. Jerome, St. Augustine and St. Gregory.

He is also one of the Fathers of the ancient Latin-speaking Church, one of the saints who contributed to its enrichment and edification through faith and teachings.
