Pair Of Antique French Creil & Montereau Ceramic Plates - Sebastopol

2 vintage ceramic collection plates from "Creil & Montereau" pottery.

These plates have a black decoration on a white background representing the end of the siege of Sebastopol, at the time of the withdrawal of the Russian troops, in the basin, as well as four trophies symbolising France, Great Britain, the Ottoman Empire and Piedmont.

Very good condition, drawings intact with signature on the reverse of the plate.

Creil-Montereau is a ceramic production founded in 1797 in Montereau. The factory closed in 1895.
