La porcelaine de Dresde doit son existence \u00e0 Auguste le Fort, influenc\u00e9 par son go\u00fbt pour la beaut\u00e9 de cette mati\u00e8re exotique, ainsi que par les reliefs dessin\u00e9s par des peintres c\u00e9ramistes du style oriental et asiatique.<\/p>\n

Lorsque Johann Friedrich B\u00f6ttger d\u00e9couvrit en 1708; le secret de la fabrication de la porcelaine blanche, le roi fit fonder une manufacture de porcelaine \u00e0 Dresde, consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme le \u201cberceau de l\u2019or blanc\u201d en Europe, puis transf\u00e9r\u00e9e quelques mois plus tard \u00e0 Meissen.<\/p>\n

Ainsi, depuis 1872, la manufacture de porcelaine saxonne de Dresde produit des articles faits main tout en conservant les m\u00e9thodes traditionnelles accumul\u00e9es au fil des si\u00e8cles, permettant de r\u00e9aliser des chefs-d\u2019\u0153uvre, dans le style de la mouvance baroque et du rococo de l\u2019\u00e9poque.<\/p>\n
