Tincture of Hydrastis Can was a pharmaceutical preparation, a small herbaceous plant, native to Canada and the United States traditionally used to relieve digestive disorders.
The plant was macerated in alcohol for several weeks in the dark. The liquid was then enriched with the plant's active ingredients.
This apothecary / chemist / pharmacy / medicine storage jar bears traces of its past but will be a perfect addition to any curiosity cabinet, and will add a lovely retro touch to your interior.
