Vintage French Finds arose through my passion for car-boot sales, thrift shops and auctions, which France has no lack of. Rather than seek treatment at the Vintage Junkie’s Clinic, I decided to turn my time-consuming addiction to good use, hence this site.
After a childhood spent in Hong Kong, then England, I moved to France in 1990 and set up a lighting company in Paris which I am still running today: www.projetlux.com.
Each region in France offers not only a distinctive selection of cheese, it is often historically associated with a particular craft or manufacture : pottery, crystal, porcelain, woodwork, bronze, lace, to name just a few. Many once-famous companies have disappeared together with their know-how. Thankfully their legacy remains and offers us a glimpse into the past.

Please note that all items on sale can be customised : furniture can be repainted and/or distressed, handles and knobs replaced, mosaic tops added. I work with several talented artists who love to upcylce, recycle and create, so please do not hesitate to ask for a quote.
