The Royal Sphinx factory was founded by Petrus Regout in 1834 in Maastricht, Holland.
Each plate is made of white earthenware and decorated with a blue landscape representing a castle overlooking a river.
They are stamped ROYAL SPHINX MAASTRICHT - P. REGOUT - CAMBRIDGE OLD ENGLAND
