Superb vintage needlepoint tapestry representing a phoenix rising from the flames, wings outstretched.
The colors of the bird (grey, black, brown and white) contrast with the red background and the orange and yellow fire.
It is a true work of art hand stitched by a talented craftsman-artist, given the delicacy of the work. Very, very far from the "kitsch" often associated with this kind of work.
The tapestry is bordered by gold and beige rods and framed under glass therefore very well protected.
