Genuine vintage glass apothecary bottle with a faded painted tin cap.
It has a faded label marked "Silicas Magnesicus".
Magnesium silicate is a mineral found in clay. It is a fine off-white, odourless, flaky powder. It was once used to make a product uniform and opaque, thus rendering it more presentable to the customer.
This apothecary / chemist / pharmacy / medicine storage jar bears traces of its past but will be a perfect addition to any curiosity cabinet, and will add a lovely retro touch to your interior.
