Charming little vintage orange enamel cast iron frying pan from the 60s.

Stamped on the base : “ Le Creuset - 16 - Made in France”

Le Creuset was created in 1925 by two Belgians : Armand Desaegher specialised in cast iron, and Octave Aubecq specialised in enamellng, to enamel kitchen utensils.

This foundry was located ideally in the Aisne at Fresnoy-Le-Grand at the crossroads of transport routes for raw materials such as coal, iron and sand.

Renowned mainly for its enamelled cast iron casseroles, it is today the world leader in enamelled cast iron cookware !
