Thérèse Martin had an extraordinary destiny. She arrived in Lisieux with her family following the death of her mother and became a nun, entering the Carmelite convent in Lisieux at the age of 15. She spent the rest of her short life there.
Before her death at the age of 24, she wrote her religious message in a book called "Histoire d'une âme". An extraordinary worldwide devotion followed the publication of her writings and St. Therese of Lisieux became one of the world's best known saints.
