A genuine pair of vintage taxidermy partridges with an ochre to brownish plumage, one stands upright observing the landscape while the other lies in its nest.
These gallinaceous birds have been naturalised by a professional taxidermist with great care and taste.
Their poses seem natural; far from some badly stuffed animals that can be truly frightening!

Good condition, but slight damage to one of the partridge’s ear (visible in the pictures). The piece could also benefit from a good dusting.
