Masons is renowned in ceramics even today. It all started following the blockage of importing precious porcelain owing to a disagreement with the East.

With growing demand in England, this tragedy led to the birth of very hard feldspathic fine ceramics, discovered by the English ceramist Charles James Mason of Staffordshire, who was the first to patent it in 1813, giving it the name of Ironstone China.

With the idea of copying Chinese porcelain at a lower cost, Mason's created “Japanese” motifs printed by transfer onto the iron clay, producing plates and dishes with a blue, red, green or brown décor on a white background.

Today, the Mason's name is linked to designs embodying the elegance and simplicity of oriental art that attract collectors around the world.

These pieces will add a elegant touch to your console or dressing table.
