Beautiful vintage Salins white earthenware cheese / dessert set featuring an emerald green band decorated with a golden wheat motif.

The set includes: 

- 9 plates (D 19 cm)

- a platter (D 27 x L 31.5 cm)

Stamped on the bottom: "Salins- France

The Salins faience factory was created in 1857 in Salins-les-Bains in Franche-Comté. Specialised in the production of tableware and domestic ceramics.

It was taken over in 1912 by Edouard Charbonnier, son of the director of the Longchamp faience factory, who was responsible for boosting the factory, which was awarded a prize at the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris.

From 1968 onwards, the factory was integrated into the Sarreguemines faience factory

These dishes will be make an original retro decoration for your kitchen with their atypical shape and colourful touch.

Good general condition, but one plate has a slight chip visible on the pictures.
