Vintage Longchamps dinner service composed of :

This is the "Cannes" model: a floral motif in blue and green set against a hexagonal white background
The pieces are stamped on the underside : "Longchamps - France" (faded on some pieces)
In 1830 Claude Phal-Matiron founded a tile factory in Longchamp, ideally situated thanks to the surrounding forests which provided wood and clay marshes transformed into quarries, which three years later became an earthenware factory.
Long dedicated to the manufacture of earthenware, it continued to grow with its successive owners and became one of the pioneers of the French ceramic industry.
